You are welcome.

At The Journey, it doesn’t matter what denomination you’re from, or if you have any church background at all. Maybe you’re just checking out the claims of Christ or seeking to grow deeper with God. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. It is our desire to partner with you on life’s journey, to encourage you in your struggles, to cover you in prayer, and to equip you with the tools you need to successfully walk with Christ.

One service, every Sunday.

You can expect friendly environments, authentic worship, authentic people, and practical teaching.

  • Church is not about buildings or denominations - it is about people. We love people & are excited to have the opportunity to meet our neighbors in the community. When you walk in the doors of the Journey, you will be greeted with a warm smile & genuine care. Throughout your visit you will encounter authentic people who truly desire to bless & encourage you on your journey.

  • We believe that worship is about more than music, it is about experiencing God in an intimate way. As a result, we have designed our worship services in such a manner that people can express freely their need for Him. There is no “right way” to worship, and as such, we encourage people to simply express their love to God in a way that is comfortable and familiar to them.

  • Our services aren’t filled with perfect people who are “too spiritually minded for their own earthly good.” Rather, they are filled with real people, experiencing real problems, who have found strength, comfort & peace in God.

  • Preaching should never be boring! As Christ-followers, we have the most exciting message in the world to deliver. We desire to present the age-old truths of scripture in a culturally relevant, yet biblically-sound manner. Our messages always seek to draw us closer to God, equip us in life’s journey, and encourage us to demonstrate kindness and the heart of God with people in our lives.

A family experience.

We are here for the entire family, and we believe that nurturing a strong foundation of faith in our children is paramount. Our Sunday and Friday programs are designed to provide a safe and enjoyable space where children and youth can grow in their faith, make lasting friendships, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

Sundays @ Student Ministry

Our dedicated and caring volunteers will lead interactive and age-appropriate lessons for children birth through age 12, that explore the teachings of Jesus and the Bible in an easy-to-understand way.

Fridays @ JumpStreet

JumpStreet is not just any ordinary space for middle and high school youth. It's a place where they can truly be themselves. Hang out, learn, and engage in meaningful conversations about the things that matter to them and their friends.

Our Vision

Everything we do at The Journey revolves around these three things- to develop a deeper relationship with God, build healthy relationships with each other, and together impact our community through love and service.

  • Cultural Relevance
We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don’t know Christ. To reach people no one is reaching, we’ll have to do things no one is doing. We are committed to creating authentic, non-threatening environments. The local church is the place where all are accepted and belong, irrespective of beliefs.

    Service
We give up things we love for things we love even more. It’s an honor to sacrifice for Christ and His church. We will laugh hard, loud and often. Nothing is more fun than serving God with people you love!

    Quality
We always bring our best. Excellence honors God and inspires people.

    Responsibility
We will honor Christ and His church with integrity. If we live with integrity, nothing else matters. If we don’t live with integrity, nothing else matters. We are spiritual contributors not spiritual consumers. The church does not exist for us. We are the church and we exist for the world.

    Freedom
We are faith-filled, big thinking, bet-the-farm risk takers. We’ll never insult God with small thinking and safe living. We will lead the way with irrational generosity. We truly believe it is more blessed to give than to receive.

  • What do we believe about the scriptures?

We believe the entire Bible is inspired Word of God and that those who wrote scripture were moved by the Spirit of God. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

What do we believe about God?

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Saviour to the lost world.

What do we believe about humanity?

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

What do we believe about salvation?

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

What do we believe about the Christian life?

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

What do we believe about the church?

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.
